What is Gastric Botox?
Gastric Botox is a non-surgical, outpatient procedure where botox is injected to the stomach with endoscopic methods under sedation. The botox injection restricts muscle contraction providing a feeling of satiety and less hunger. For Gastric Botox to be applied, the patient's BMI should be below 40.

Preparing for the Procedure
- Online and in-person consultations will be made to examine the patient, assess the medical history and to discuss the patient's expectations.
- The doctor will make note of allergies, chronic diseases and regular medications used by the patient.
- The anesthesist will have a consultation with the patient.
- The patient should quit smoking and avoid alcohol before the procedure.
- Specific dietary guidelines provided by the surgeon must strictly be followed before the surgery.
The Procedure
After sedation, botox is injected to different parts of the stomach with an endoscope. The procedure takes about 20 minutes.

The Post-Operative Process
- Within 3 days a feeling of satiety will become obvious.
