What is Penis Enlargement Surgery?

Penis enlargement surgery is a procedure to both lengthen and enlarge the penis in width to increase its overall volume. Patients who wish to increase the sexual satisfaction of their partners prefer to undergo surgery. A minority of patients choose to undergo surgery for functional reasons such as a micropenis or buried penis which leads to struggles with sexual intercourse and urinating standing.

Preparing for Surgery

1. Online and in-person consultations will be made to examine the patient, assess the medical history and to discuss the patient's expectations.
2. The doctor will make note of allergies, chronic diseases and regular medications used by the patient.
3. Blood tests will be carried out before the operation.
4. The anesthesist will have a consultation with the patient.
5. The patient is advised to quit smoking before surgery.
6. Patients must stop taking Aspirin and all other blood thinners, Omega 3 supplements and herbal teas.

The Surgical Process

There are various surgical methods available and the surgeon will decide on the most suitable technique for each patient. These methods can be listed as ligamentolysis where the suspensory ligament is cut to make penis appear longer, removing patient's own fat and re-injecting it to the penis for a more width, enlargement with dermal filler or removal of fat from pubic area to make the penis look more protruded (especially for buried penis cases).

The surgery takes place under general anesthesia and lasts approximately 2 hours.

The Post-Operative Process

• Swelling and some pain is expected for a few days after surgery.
• You may get back to work 4-7 days after surgery.
• Loose undergarments and clothing must be worn after surgery.
• The surgeon will be available for online and in-person consultations after the surgery for necessary follow-ups.
