Quick Look
What is Fox Eye/Cat Eye Lift?
Fox eye or cat eye lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure to create almond-shaped eyes by making the corner of the eyes more slanted and uplifted like those of a fox or cat. The procedure has become increasingly popular over the last years with many patients seeking fox eyes similar to celebrities like Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Megan Fox. The surgery provides an exotic appeareance and can also be combined with traditional eyelid surgery to fix hooded eyes at the same time.

Preparing for Surgery
- Online and in-person consultations will be made to examine the patient, assess the medical history and to discuss the patient's expectations.
- The doctor will make note of allergies, chronic diseases and regular medications used by the patient.
- The anesthesist will have a consultation with the patient.
- The patient should quit smoking and avoid alcohol before the procedure.
- Patients must stop taking Aspirin and all other blood thinners, Omega 3 supplements and herbal teas.
The Surgical Process
There are two main approaches to fox/cat eyes; surgical lifts and thread lifts. For surgical lifts incisions are made at the outer corners of the eyes and eyes are positioned for the desired look. Thread lifts on the other hand are considered minimally invasive and lift the brows and reposition outer corners of the eyes to create fox eye/cat eye look.
Thread lifts are performed under local anesthesia and take approximately 20 minutes. Full recovery may take 1-3 weeks.
Surgical lifts may be performed under local or general anesthesia and may take up to 2 hours.

The Post-Operative Process
- Mild swelling and bruising are normal after the procedure.
- Scars will heal in a few weeks after surgery but will take about 1 year to fade away.
- You may get back to work 1-2 weeks after surgery.
- The surgeon will be available for online and in-person consultations after the surgery for necessary follow-ups.
