What is Mommy Makeover?
Mommy Makeover refers to a combination of plastic surgeries to reshape different parts of a mother's body after pregnancy and breastfeeding. Hormonal fluctuations, swelling, weight gain and baby's growth during and after pregnancy all lead to major changes especially in the breast and tummy region.
Most preferred operations for Mommy Makeover are breast, tummy tuck, liposuction and vaginoplasty procedures. Breast surgeries entail breast augmentation, breast lift and breast reduction. Some mothers prefer the tummy tuck to also improve the appearance of the C-section scar. For liposuction the most preferred areas are the tummy, buttocks and hips. Most frequently performed vaginoplasty procedures are reduction of the labia minora, fat injection to the labia majora and vaginal tightening.
Mothers can undergo Mommy Makeover 4-5 months after they have stopped breastfeeding. Mothers that haven't breastfed can schedule surgery for an earlier time frame.
